Two things on the go at once this week, and the one that taught me most was the pain tool I'm building for my own back.
And I only learnt what I learnt because I smashed through it.
Built fast, shipped a load of it, actually used it, then read something like sixty studies on what helps chronic pain and got to see which bits of my own app held up and which bits didn’t.
You don't get that from planning it perfectly on paper first.
You get it from building the thing and being honest about what isn't pulling its weight.
So a good chunk of the week was cutting back to what the research backs and putting a proper plan in, and I got there far quicker for having run at it, not despite it.
Building the wrong thing first is how you find the right one.
